Þann 11. nóv. sl. var opnaður nýr leitarvefur, http://leitir.is/, sem leitar samtímis í Gegni sem er samskrá velflestra bókasafna í landinu, tengdu stafrænu íslensku efni, auk þess er leitað í erlendum áskriftum að stafrænu vísindaefni í Landsaðgangi. Gagnasöfn sem hægt er að leita samtímis í eru: Gegnir, bækur.is, Elib, Hirslan, hvar.is, Ljósmyndasafn Reykjavíkur, Skemman og timarit.is. Vakin skal athygli á því að ennþá verður hægt að leita í "gamla" Gegni á gegnir.is.
Á vef Landsaðgangs, http://hvar.is/ er einnig búið að tengja leitarglugga þar sem hægt er að leita
samtímis í flestum gagna- og tímaritasöfnum.
Ekki er þó leitað í Encyclopædia Britannica söfnunum, né OxfordArt og OxfordMusic söfnunum en neðst í
niðurstöðulistanum eru krækjur í þessi söfn. Stefnt er að því að gera áskrift Landsaðgangs að Morgunblaðinu
leitarbæra.
The Consortium of Icelandic Libraries has launched a national search portal http://leitir.is/. From this website the collections of most libraries in Iceland are searchable as well as the collections of selected special libraries and scholarly subscriptions and licenses of the Iceland Consortium.
At the web of the Iceland Consortium http://hvar.is/ almost all its subscriptions and licenses are searchable simultaneously (Leita að greinum í landsaðgangi). Excluded are the databases of Encyclopædia Britannica and Oxford Online. The subscription of Morgunblaðið (an Icelandic newspaper) will be included in the near future.
With this new service access to the content of the Iceland Consortium will hopefully be more user friendly to the general public, researchers and academics alike. Please notice that searching
individual platforms separately will still be available.
