Prof Giorgio Baruchello has recently completed five volumes of literary-philosophical works for Canada’s Northwest Passage Books. The publisher will release them over the period 2025-2027. All volumes in this original book series are subtitled Philosophical Fragments, and they comprise more than a hundred texts of, primarily, a comical nature: Comedies, short stories, satires, novellas, etc. Whilst the chosen stylistic medium is, for the most part, farcical, the theoretical, socio-political, and psychological contents are more sober, since they address the complex relationship between humour and cruelty in the world which we happen to inhabit and suffer. The unique covers for the five volumes will boast original artworks by noted international photographers: Armando Gallo, Alberto Terrile, Agata Wilczyńska, and Veronika Korchak.

As by now traditional for Prof Giorgio Baruchello’s publications with Northwest Passage Books, all author’s royalties deriving from the sales of his volumes are devolved to a charitable organisation in Guelph, Ontario, where the author lived in his youth.
